Welcome to AICJ
The AIC Group, which describes itself as a “comprehensive education provider,” began its foray into school education with the establishment of Auckland International College, a private high school founded in New Zealand in 2003.
Although the school closed due to factors such as border closures resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, many of its more than 1,600 graduates from New Zealand and across Asia went on to attend top universities worldwide—including Harvard University, Princeton University, the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, and the University of Tokyo—and are now making significant contributions in their home countries and around the globe. This spirit was carried forward to AICJ Junior and Senior High School, which opened in Hiroshima in 2006.
Drawing on our experience in running cram schools, sports clubs, and schools, we opened a kindergarten and elementary school to nurture bilingual talent and provide a new option for education in Japan. At AICJ International School Elementary Division (formerly AIC World College), recognizing that the majority of our students are Japanese, we have created a learning environment that fosters a Japanese identity by seamlessly integrating high-quality international education in English with Japanese language education that meets the standards of the Japanese national curriculum.
Our educational framework adopts the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme, which has also been implemented at AIC NZ and AICJ Middle and High School. The children of today will live in an era where they must confront unprecedented challenges, think independently, and find their own answers. Through the IB program, we are committed to nurturing these skills so that our students can spread their wings and thrive in the global community.
